Born at the Rex Hospital facility on Wade Avenue, Brantley has lived in the Raleigh area his entire life. He grew up the son of a Harnett County farmer, and his family has called central North Carolina home for generations. Brantley attended North Carolina State University, where he graduated at the top of his class with a major in accounting. Recruited by Big-4 accounting firm, Deloitte, while still in college, he quickly rose in the company from staff accountant to Senior Manager, finally retiring after 25 years of service. Brantley then combined his skill and experience with tools, machinery, and home improvement projects with his specialized accounting, finance, and business knowledge to form Summit Roofing of NC, LLC. Since the company’s inception, Summit Roofing has become one of the most trusted names in roofing and home improvement in Raleigh and the surrounding communities.
When not managing Summit Roofing’s operations, Brantley enjoys college sports and has been a proud supporter of the NC State Wolfpack for more than twenty years. He regularly attends football games with his family and can often be found tailgating with friends before the game. He also likes to travel and has visited more than two dozen countries, including France, Germany, Austria, China, India, Greece, and South Africa. Brantley also is very involved in his church and community, frequently investing in causes such as First Baptist Church of Raleigh’s Toy Joy ministry, the United Way, and the Boy Scouts of America.
